The Lieutenancy of Dunbartonshire

Creative Care Victorian Christmas 2016

Deputy Lieutenat Mrs Morag Hart MBE JP was invited to attend the colourful Victorian Christmas that was held by Creative Care in their home at Brackenbrae House in Bishopbriggs on 3rd December 2016.  The House was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and amazing decorations to set the scene for the public and supporters to visit.  Families and children met Mr & Mrs Claus in their Winter Wonderland and received a gift, and were shown how to make Christmas Crafts to take home.   Tea / coffee and home baking were enjoyed by everyone in their tea-room, and the range of cakes and crafts on their sales tables tempted many people to buy a range of goodies.

Creative Care is a small Scottish Charity staffed by willing volunteers, offering a warm and welcoming environment in which people who are going through a difficult time, and young and older people who have a range of special educational needs, enjoy a wide variety of paper crafting activities in a haven of peace and loving support.  The Charity was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2013, and the Director, Mrs Nan Middleton, was awarded The British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, June 2016.
